We have just completed two marketing videos promoting the reopening of Aberdeen’s newest and biggest venue TECA, known locally as ‘P&J Live’.
This state-of-the-art venue was designed to host concerts by major music acts, as well as theatrical productions and corporate exhibitions and conferences. TECA originally opened just a few months prior to the covid outbreak and managed just a handful of events before it was forced to close during lockdown.
The building did not stay empty for long though as, during lockdown, the venue was transformed into Aberdeen’s main vaccination centre. As lockdown restrictions were relaxed, and live events began to be rebooked, the team at TECA wanted to celebrate with some eye-catching films to relaunch the venue and build excitement for its upcoming events.
We produced two films: one for live events including music gigs, and one for corporate events. As the venue had to be empty during filming, we created a sound and vision collage of preparations being made throughout the building, culminating in celebration as audiences were finally allowed to return ‘Back To Live’, and corporate clients encouraged to return ’Back To Business’. However, at time of filming, audiences were still not allowed in, so we were challenged to create a fake gig, complete with a mystery ‘rockstar’!
