iGii: Graphene the Future, Captured on Film

Signal teamed up once again with London-based Williams Nicolson, a communications and change management consultancy, to create a dynamic brand film for iGii, a cutting-edge company specialising in integrated graphene.

This advanced material, developed by iGii, is a pure, porous, three-dimensional carbon nanostructure with extraordinary properties. Known for its high sensitivity, sustainability, and versatility, it is ideal for applications across multiple sectors, including automotive, electronics, and environmental technologies.  Gii is a considerably more environmentally friendly material compared to gold, silver, platinum and many other materials often used in medical, environmental and industrial testing.

The film was commissioned as part of a rebranding campaign managed by Williams Nicholson, who also designed iGii’s new brand identity. Turnaround time was extremely short – the film was shot and edited within a week.

Signal’s film takes the viewer behind the scenes to capture iGii’s groundbreaking work at its state-of-the-art facility in Stirling, Scotland. Compelling and beautifully lit visuals were used to translate complex scientific concepts into an engaging narrative that highlights the company’s ethos of innovation and sustainability, and illustrates its vision for a future where advanced materials drive both technological progress and environmental responsibility. The film was delivered by iGii’s CEO, Jean-Christophe Granier, and features animated versions of the new brand identity graphics.

This brand film effectively communicates iGii’s mission to redefine materials science by developing advanced, high-performance, and eco-friendly solutions. Signal’s Managing Director, Jamie Baikie said, “We were delighted to help this cutting-edge Scottish business by creating a visually engaging film to attract partners, investors, and customers. We were also delighted to work with Williams Nicholson again, after previous successful collaborations with them on several projects for global aviation company CHC. We look forward to continuing this successful relationship”
