Sustainability in the Air

We were delighted to capture footage for CHC Helicopters a global helicopter services company with a major hub in Aberdeen airport.

Williams Nicolson, a strategic communication and change management consultancy asked us to capture footage to create promotional films for CHC’s new environmentally friendly product: ‘Clear Skies’ – a software tool that enhances flight profiles to reduce fuel use and optimise CO2 emission reduction during flights.

A range of filming techniques were on the day: our Sony FX6 with autocue captured pieces to camera, and our A7SIII camera with gimbal ensured smooth shots of the rest of the facility. Go-pros helped create timelapses.

Our crew had a 6am start, as we arrived in time to film a stunning sunrise and the first few aircraft ferrying offshore workers to their installations in the North Sea. We filmed throughout the CHC facility, capturing the flight crew plotting their trips, air traffic controllers, mechanics servicing aircraft, and passengers in the heliport terminal.

We also filmed pieces to camera with CHC’s VP of Safety, Compliance and Flight Standards, Jon Hopkinson, and Lorraine Cameron, CHC’s Senior Manager, Safety & Quality – Customer Excellence, as they explained the company’s commitment to reducing carbon within the business.
