Aberdeen-based video production company Signal partnered with Shell UK to produce a new film marking the start-up of the Victory gas field, a major milestone in Britain’s energy story.

The Victory field is now delivering North Sea gas to the UK market. The project connects a single subsea well into existing pipeline infrastructure, transporting gas to the Shetland Gas Plant before being fed into the national grid at St Fergus. At full capacity Victory will produce enough gas per day to heat almost 900,000 homes annually.

The film, produced by Signal, showcases both the technical achievement and the broader energy significance of the project. Working closely with Shell’s communications team, Signal captured the story over several months across multiple UK locations, filming onshore and offshore to document the journey from subsea to shore.

The film combines cinematic visuals with clear, engaging storytelling illustrating how Victory strengthens the UK’s energy security while supporting lower-carbon operations through the reuse of existing infrastructure.

Signal’s Managing Director Jamie Baikie said “We wanted to reflect both the scale of the engineering and the people behind the project. Filming over many months across diverse and often challenging locations gave us a deep appreciation of the teamwork and commitment driving this success.”

For Signal, the project continues its long-standing partnership with the global energy and engineering sectors, producing award-winning films that combine technical accuracy with impact.
