Aberdeen-based video production company Signal has achieved an impressive feat by winning two international Gold Awards at the 47th annual Telly Awards 2026. As an award-winning video production and animation company in Scotland, Signal continues to create high-quality corporate video, brand film and digital content for clients across the UK and beyond. Competition was fierce, with over 13,000 entries from across five continents, under the theme “Capture the Original”.

One Gold was awarded for Thrust Forward, a series of marketing films produced for Finland-based Wärtsilä, focused on Noble’s thruster maintenance programme. The work highlights Signal’s expertise in corporate video production, industrial video production and strategic brand storytelling for global engineering and energy clients. The second Gold was awarded to Signal’s brand film for Aberdeenshire premium food manufacturer Thistle Seafoods.
John-Paul Moonen, Senior Project Manager at Wärtsilä, said: “Working closely with Signal and Noble Corporation has been truly inspiring and allowed our teams to tell a shared story. The videos capture how we collaborate in true partnership on turnkey thruster projects, combining expertise to deliver more efficient operations and tangible value for customers around the world.”
The Wärtsilä campaign was a resounding success, reaching nearly a quarter of a million people on LinkedIn alone.
Schuyler Dugle, Senior Communication Specialist at Noble, added: “We are always happy to have Signal onboard, knowing that not only will they operate safely, but will capture great footage and produce engaging films. This was another successful collaboration with Signal and Wärtsilä.”

Filming for Thistle Seafoods covered their entire production process, from the dedicated research kitchen through to food production lines, packaging and despatch to international clients. The project is a strong example of Signal’s promotional video production and brand film work, combining cinematic production values with clear business messaging. The voiceover was recorded by renowned voice actor Lewis MacLeod, famous for his work on productions including Star Wars.
Stephen Main, Chief Commercial Officer at Thistle Seafoods, shared: “We’re very happy with the film. The production quality is of a premium standard, and we’ve used it at seafood shows in Boston and Barcelona as well as on our new website.”
Jamie Baikie, founder and managing director of Signal, commented: “You couldn’t get two more contrasting clients: from a local family-owned food business to a global engineering corporation. The fact that we were able to produce award-winning films for both is a real endorsement of the versatility and quality of the team. We’re hugely grateful to Thistle and Wärtsilä for putting their trust in us.”
